The captivating crime thriller A Dark Place, starring Andrew Scott (Fleabag, Sherlock), will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on May 21, 2019 from Shout! Studios.

Director Simon Fellows (Malice In Wonderland) crafts a moody mystery about Donny, a small-town sanitation truck driver (Andrew Scott) whose friendship with a young boy on his route leads to an obsession over uncovering the truth about the boy’s sudden disappearance. The more that Donny recalls the boy’s kindness, the more he becomes consumed by the discrepancies with the sheriff’s theory that he just ran away … and as Donny investigates and analyzes, he finds a steady and surprising resistance that mounts until the whole town seems to be against him.

An engrossing and realistic drama that benefits from Scott’s terrifically nuanced performance, A Dark Place delivers surprises and twists that will stick with you long after its final frame.

Andrew Scott stars as Donald Devlin, alongside Bronagh Waugh as Donna, Denise Gough as Betty, and Christa Beth Campbell as Wendy. From an original screenplay written by Brendan Higgins, Simon Fellows directs the film. The producers are Gareth Ellis-Unwin, Leon Clarance, Tai Duncan, and Mark Williams. Joining Fellows’ creative team are director of photographer Marcel Zyskind (The Two Faces of January), production designer Erik Rehl (Kajaki), casting director Nanw Rowlands (Jungle Book), editors Chris Dickens (Slumdog Millionaire) and David Arshadi (Downton Abbey), and composer John E.R. Hardy (Hinterland).
