Caught between beauty and menace, light and darkness, Juli Jakab (Son of Saul) delivers an intimate performance alongside Vlad Ivanov (Snowpiercer) in a film about civilization at its crossroads and a girl who discovers more about herself in a search to find her brother. SUNSET also stars Marcin Czarnik (Son of Saul), Evelin Dobos, Judit Bárdos (Fair Play) and Susanne Wuest (Goodnight Mommy; Perfume).

Directed by László Nemes, SUNSET was written by Clara Royer, Matthieu Taponier and László Nemes, The film was produced by Gábor Sipos and Gábor Rajna and co-produced by François Yon, Nicolas Brigaud-Roberts and Valéry Guibal,

SUNSET has a run time of approximately 142 minutes and is rated R for some violence.

Synopsis:
From László Nemes, director of the Academy Award® winning Son of Saul, Sunset tells the story of young Írisz Leiter who, in 1913, arrives in Budapest looking for work as a milliner at Leiter, the legendary hat store once owned by her late parents who died in a fire — but she is quickly sent away by the new proprietor, Oszkár Brill. When a man comes to Írisz looking for the murderer Kálmán Leiter, who he says is her brother, Írisz tries to track him down. Her quest to find the only link to her past takes her through the dark streets of Budapest, where only the Leiter hat store shines, into the turmoil of a civilization on the eve of its downfall.
