Deathtrap Meets Misery in this Gripping British Thriller

Cinephobia announces the upcoming release of the British thriller The Latent Image – slated for DVD and VOD/Streaming on September 12, 2023.

The Latent Image was directed by Alexander McGregor Birrell and adopted from his 2019 award-winning short of the same name. The tense drama mixes elements of fear, excitement, sexuality and danger as gay writer Ben (Joshua Tonks) has his solitude in the woods invaded by a mysterious stranger (Jay Clift). Both threatened by and attracted to the attractive man, has Ben found the perfect inspiration for his new book or are his darkest and most dangerous fantasies about to come to life?

The film world premiered at the Soho Horror Festival in London and recently had its American Premiere at Miami’s OUTShine Film Festival.
