The film is a poignant and sweeping story of friendship, community, and home, following two best friends as they try to find their place in a rapidly changing city. Premiering to rave reviews at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, writer-director Joe Talbot won the U.S. Dramatic Directing Award and the Special July Award – Creative Collaboration at the festival. The film “overflows with life and love” (Justin Chang, Los Angeles Times) and stars Danny Glover, Jonathan Majors, Tichina Arnold, and Jimmie Fails, as himself, in his feature film debut.
