‘Barbie’ Plays With DVD, Blu-ray and 4k UHD on October 17

From Oscar-nominated writer/director Greta Gerwig (“Little Women,” “Lady Bird”), “Barbie,” stars Oscar-nominees Margot Robbie (“Bombshell,” “I, Tonya”) and Ryan Gosling (“La La Land,” “Half Nelson”) as Barbie and Ken. Synopsis:
To live in Barbie Land is to be a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you’re a Ken. In a world where everyone is perfect, Barbie is different. She’s not the perfect size, she’s not the perfect color, and she’s not the perfect personality. But that’s okay, because Barbie is perfect just the way she is. When Barbie is kicked out of Barbieland for not being perfect enough, she sets out on an adventure to find her place in the world. Along the way, she meets a cast of colorful characters who help her learn that it’s okay to be different, and that being yourself is the most important thing of all. In the end, Barbie finds her true home in the real world, where she can be herself and inspire others to do the same.
