Horror, Humor, and a Killer Legacy: The Lizzie Borden Game Unleashes Chaos Worldwide

In case you missed the buzz, The Lizzie Borden Game, the latest genre-smashing horror ride from cult filmmaker Calvin Morie McCarthy (Conjuring: The Beyond, Beware the Boogeyman), is now available worldwide. Distributed by Breaking Glass Pictures, the film drops officially August 1 on digital platforms—and is now streaming on Amazon Prime, with additional major platforms rolling out soon.

After the sudden and suspicious death of her parents, Emily (Airisa Durand) joins friends for a secluded Friendsgiving retreat at a sprawling gothic castle. But when they dare to play a strange local ritual known as The Lizzie Borden Game, the spirit of the infamous axe murderess is summoned… and the blood starts flowing.

Starring Jason Brooks (Friday the 13th: Vengeance), Laura Wilson, Jessica Noel Thompson, and Chynna Rae Shurts as Lizzie Borden, the film is packed with supernatural thrills, pitch-black humor, and campy carnage that fans of classic horror will eat up.

Calvin has such a unique voice as a filmmaker, and we’ve had the pleasure of working with him across many of his films,” said Rich Wolff, CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures and producer of the film. “The Lizzie Borden Game is his most fun and ferocious project yet—creepy, fast-paced, and perfect for fans of horror that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
