Bonsai

Searching for inspiration and a plot, Julio revisits a romance he had eight years ago when studying literature in Valdivia. Naked Angels

Bernie
In the tiny, rural town of Carthage, Texas, assistant funeral director Bernie Tiede was one of the town's most beloved residents. He taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone loved and appreciated Bernie, so it came as no surprise when he befriended Marjorie Nugent, an affluent widow who was as well known for her sour attitude as for her fortune. Bernie frequently traveled with Marjorie and even managed her banking affairs. Marjorie quickly became fully dependent on Bernie and his generosity and Bernie struggled to meet her increasing demands. Bernie continued to handle her affairs, and the townspeople went months without seeing Marjorie. The people of Carthage were shocked when it was reported that Marjorie Nugent had been dead for some time, and Bernie Tiede was being charged with the murder. A Separation
A married couple are faced with a difficult decision - to improve the life of their child by moving to another country or to stay in Iran and look after a deteriorating parent who has Alzheimer's disease. Simin wants to leave Iran with her husband Nader and daughter Termeh. But Nader refuses to leave behind his Alzheimer-suffering father, and Simin sues for divorce. Her request having failed, Simin returns to her parents' home, but Termeh decides to stay with her father. When Nader hires a religious young woman to assist with his father, he hopes his life will return to a normal state. However, when he discovers that the new maid has been lying to him and her own family, he realizes that there is much more on the line than his marriage. With a very sophisticated and multi-layered screenplay, sharp mise-en-scene, and emotional performances, director Asghar Farhadi raises crucial questions about family relationships between parents and children, men and women, the condition of women in Iran, and how one's beliefs, religious and otherwise, affect our lives. Won the Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Independent Spirit Award for Best Foreign Language film. In Persian with English subtitles.

Chimpanzee
Inspiring film follows the true-life adventure of Oscar, a young chimpanzee whose curiosity and zest for life showcase the intelligence and ingenuity of some of the most extraordinary personalities in the animal kingdom. Oscar is enjoying his life with his mother in the jungles along the Ivory Coast. Without warning, young Oscar is tragically orphaned during an attack from a rival group of chimpanzees. Afterwards, he attempts to survive on his own, and to be accepted by the other chimps. But Oscar struggles, until he is surprising adopted by the Alpha Male of his group. To celebrate the in-home debut of "Chimpanzee," Disneynature is continuing the "See 'Chimpanzee,' Save Chimpanzees" conservation program initiated with the film's theatrical release: For every purchase of the movie through August 27, 2012, Disneynature will make a donation through the Disney Worldwide ConservationFund to the Jane Goodall Institute to conserve chimpanzee habitat, educate the next generation, and provide care for orphaned chimpanzees.
