Priced for Sale is OnVideo's comprehensive list of videos priced at sell-through or newly repriced for sale.

Typically, the studios will lower the price on a "rental" title for sell-through to the public about five to six months after its initial home video release. When first released, titles are generally priced near $70-$80 at the wholesale level and with a no SRP -- "suggested retail price" -- tag, though a "list" price of from $95 to $105 is usual. On sell-through repricing, prices drop down anywhere from $29.99 to $19.99 (about $15-$10 at wholesale).

Some titles, of course, are released to video for the first time at a sell-through price; in particular, these are mass appeal or family titles (such as "Ace Ventura," "Batman," the Disney films) that the studios can mass merchandise and sell in the millions.

The studios also go through their backlist catalog and reprice some evergreen titles and classics for as low as $9.99.

Check here every week for updated "sell-through" listings.
