  • Edge of Darkness

    Thriller set at the intersection of politics and big business. Thomas Craven (Mel Gibson) is a veteran homicide detective on the Boston Police Department and a single father. But he soon suspects otherwise, and embarks on a mission to find out about his daughter's secret life and her killing. Twisted thriller take on "Alice in Wonderland" follows American law student Alice (Maggie Grace), who after being knocked down by a London taxi, finds herself in a strange underworld called Wonderland, where she's joined by the cabbie on a dark and dangerous journey home, attempting to dodge gangsters, pimps and prostitutes, and avoiding a shadowy group determined to take her captive. The North Face side of the Swiss Alps' Eiger Mountain, also referred to as the "murder wall," was once one of the most deadliest walls to scale, and in 1936, a small group of German mountain climbers decided to face the incredible challenge head-on without ever looking back. Based on a true story, this is a gripping adventure drama about a competition to climb the most dangerous rock face in the Alps. In 1936, Nazi propaganda urges German Alpinists to conquer the mountain, bringing two reluctant climbers to begin their daring ascent and attempt to scale the infamous rock face. Closely followed by two Austrians, all goes well at first as both rope teams make good headway ... but then the climbers lose their advantage over the mountain, and the race against time and the forces of nature begins.
