"The movie business is macabre. Grotesque.
It is a combination of a football game
and a brothel."

WILD ROVERS (1971) New 2019 1080p HD Master

Blake Edwards directs William Holden and Ryan O’Neal in this anti-Western about two cowboys who quit cattle-ranching and take up bank-robbing. Karl Malden plays the offended cattle rancher who sends his two sons (Tom Skerritt and Joe Don Baker) out to bring the two cowboys to justice. Heavily edited by the studio in its initial release, this edition brings you the reconstructed ‘roadshow’ version of the film, with original overture and exit music intact, as Edwards intended the film to be seen. Edwards’ use of wide-open widescreen along with Philip Lathrop’s scintillating cinematography are rendered as never before in this new 1080p presentation that truly brings Edward’s epic roadshow and Holden’s masterful performance home. SPECIAL FEATURES: “The Movie Makers” Featurette; Theatrical Trailer (HD). 16×9 Letterbox

YEAR OF THE DRAGON (1985) New 2019 1080p HD Master

Mickey Rourke stars as Stanley White, the “most decorated cop in the history of the New York Police Department” in this stylish crime thriller that combines streetwise grit and neon noir. Vietnam veteran White still carries the psychological scars of his service, so his one-man crusade to clean up Chinatown summons more demons than angels. Directed by Michael Cimino with a screenplay co-written by Oliver Stone, Year of the Dragon proved to be a seminal action classic whose character study, chiaroscuro color palette and ballet of violence climax continues to influence cinema on both sides of the Pacific to this day. Reinvigorated thanks to this new High Definition Master, this Blu-ray presentation showcases this mini-masterpiece with the spotlight it deserves. SPECIAL FEATURES: Commentary by Director Michael Cimino; Theatrical Trailer (HD). 16×9 Letterbox

STARSKY & HUTCH (2004) New 2019 1080p HD Master

Director Todd Phillips (Hated: GG Allin & the Murder Junkies; Old School) turns his absurdist auteur gaze towards the then nascent trend of big budget motion picture remakes of TV favorites to create the pitch im-perfect parody of 70s cop TV shows and films in general. Tightly wound Detective David Starsky (Ben Stiller) is forced to partner with easygoing Detective Ken Hutchinson (Owen Wilson) to solve a high stakes case. Now the city may never be the same as these two, helped by savvy street informant Huggy Bear (Snoop Dogg), must work together to catch smooth-talking drug entrepreneur Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn). Packed with cameos from comedy kings and lensed with élan by cinematographer Barry Peterson, Starsky and Hutch serves up some sizzle with its satire. SPECIAL FEATURES: Gag Reel; Deleted Scenes; “Fashion Fa Shizzle Wit Huggy Bizzle”; “Last Look” Making-Of Mockumentary; Commentary by Director/Co-Writer Todd Phillips; Theatrical Trailer (HD). 16×9 Letterbox
