Film synopsis

The film focuses once again on brothers Ted and Tim (Alec Baldwin and James Marsden) who are now facing middle age. It’s been 40 years and Tim has his own family, including infant daughter Tina. Younger brother Ted is successful in the business world and never sees his family. One night, Tina (Amy Sedaris) announces that she works for BabyCorp and is a Boss Baby just like Ted was once upon a time. She needs her Dad and uncle’s help to defeat a rival of BabyCorp (Jeff Goldblum), who wants to wipe out childhoods all over the world. Tina leaves a secret voicemail for Ted, after her father tells her not to bother.

Ted arrives the next morning and Tina reveals herself as a Boss Baby. She gives both Ted and Tim a magic pacifier which allows them to visit BabyCorp. This mission brings the brothers together again and they have to put their differences aside to achieve a greater goal. The brothers get to become children again for 48 hours. They go undercover to figure out what Dr. Edwin Armstrong, principal of older sister Tabitha’s school, is plotting. As they re-enter childhood, Ted learns that Dr. Armstrong is actually a baby himself and is now making a living creating phone apps. His grand plan is to get rid of every parent so children won’t be told what to do anymore and he has chosen B-Day to do it.

On the night of the holiday pageant, the brothers and Tina plan to expose Armstrong’s plans but discover that B-Day is set to happen that night. Armstrong’s new app, QT-Snap, will hypnotize the parents and turn them into zombies. The team need to get to the server and shut down QT-Snap before it can go worldwide. Tim and Ted get there first, but are stopped in their tracks by Armstrong and the zombie parents. The brothers manage to hold them back while sisters Tina and Tabitha get up to the server and, using a candy volcano, they destroy the servers, and the parents return to normal. Tina then reveals that her real mission was to bring brothers Ted and Tim back together to play bingo Australia games.

They call me a stay-at-home Dad, which means, I hardly get to stay at home.

The difference in ‘try’ and ‘triumph’ is just a little oomph.
