New York, NY – A world-weary Los Angeles limo driver forges an unlikely friendship with a high school girl in SOLEDAD, a powerful drama from first-time writer-directors Eduardo Maytorena and Wayne Mitchell.  Grand Jury Prize Runner-Up at 2015’s Dances with Films Festival and an Official Selection at numerous festivals including the San Francisco Latino Film Festival and the 31st Chicago Latino Film Festival, SOLEDAD will be available on July 26, via VOD and digital HD on leading digital platforms including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Vudu.

A lonely, Latino limousine driver named Victor (Jesse Celedon) lives a solitary existence: lifting weights in his small apartment, saying silent grace over the breakfast he has prepared with care, and silently enduring the disrespect of his clients night after night.  One evening, however, after defending Raquel (Montanna Gillis, The Vatican Tapes, Don Peyote), a well-off, high-school-aged passenger being assaulted by her prom date, Victor’s simple act of compassion sets off a series of events destined to bring back a past he has fought desperately to escape.  With a meandering road trip through the city of Angels and an unlikely friendship taking both Victor and Raquel out of their comfort zones, we’re reminded that sometimes it only takes one night to change our lives forever.

“With affecting and well-observed moments[1]” and a “compelling” lead turn by Celadon, who turns in “[one of the] top male performances of 2015[2]“, SOLEDAD has earned accolades and awards at numerous festivals throughout 2015, capped by  Dances with Films, as well as a nomination for  “Best Film of 2015” at New Filmmakers Los Angeles.  The film co-stars Chase Austin (The Bride He Bought Online, A Christmas Carol + Zombies), Chris Petrovski (“Madame Secretary”), Nat Leone and co-director Maytorena as a sleazy nightclub owner.
