'Good Life' Begins on VOD April 15

Written and directed by BONNIE RODINI (The Story of an African Farm) and BARRY STRICK (Glasshouse, Dark Tide, Amazon Series SAF3). The film was shot in Cape Town during Covid with a story that is loosely based on Rodini’s own life. The film is Rodini’s directorial debut.
 
Olive Pappadopoulous, a thirtysomething oral hygienist flees Cape Town for Greece to outwit a broken heart. On arrival she encounters hostility from the local villagers and is befriended by a seven-year-old Albanian refugee who becomes her guide, negotiator and friend, teaching Olive how to live the “Good Life”.
 
GOOD LIFE, something of a darling on the international festival circuit in 2021, won best film at the Berlin and Toronto Independent Film festival, Best film at Across the Globe New York, Award winner at the Global Film awards Los Angeles, Semi Finalist in Madrid, Best Actress Euro Film Geneva, Official selection Chelsea Film Festival and Sydney Women’s International Film Festival.

SYNOPSIS

When Olive, 35, discovers her boyfriend cheating, she decides to escape to her family’s home in Greece to mend her broken heart. There she is met with hostility from the local villagers who band together to make her life unbearable. That’s when Olive meets Jet, a 7-year-old boy who comes to her rescue. He becomes her guide, negotiator and friend, teaching Olive how to live the “Good Life.”
