From first-time feature director Filippo Meneghetti comes the critically acclaimed story of a deeply loving and secretive relationship in Two of Us, arriving On Demand on May 11 from Magnolia Home Entertainment. Beautifully featuring quiet warmth and poignant performances from lead actresses Barbara Sukowa (Rosa Luxemburg) and Martine Chevallier (Tell No One), the French foreign-language blockbuster portrays a love story for the ages.
Unforgettable in its unique approach to intimacy, Two of Us chronicles the secret, decades-long romance between Nina (Sukowa) and Madeleine (Chevallier). Hidden from Madeleine’s family, the two cultivate an intimate life of their own, until devastation strikes, forcing their love into the light. An often moving, visual experience rooted in the desire for emotional intimacy, the love between Nina and Madeline transcends gender, family and culture in this moving story. As Nina’s daughter, Léa Drucker (Custody), unravels the truth about her mother and Madline, Meneghettio leaves the audience with an emotionally compelling story that shatters, rebuilds and endures the test of time.
Two of Us will be available On Demand via Apple TV, Google Play, Prime Video, FandangoNOW and more on May 11.
