Set for Digital Debut on North American VOD Platforms October 19
Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group/Entertainment Studios, has acquired North American VOD rights to the dramatic-adventure feature film, A NOMAD RIVER. A NOMAD RIVER will be available to rent and own on North American digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms on October 19, 2021 through Freestyle Digital Media.
A NOMAD RIVER tells the story of a refugee, an actress, a street cleaner, and a news reporter as they journey across India. As India faces water crisis and climate change, viewers travel the country with Adriana, a refugee from Venezuela; Kankana, an Indian actress working in Hollywood; Suraj, a street cleaner from a slum in Rajasthan; and Ravi, a television news reporter from Jaipur. As the threat of climate change and river-water-crisis looms over India, Adriana, a refugee from civil war-torn Venezuela, travels across the country with the Rally for Rivers, a pan India campaign by Sadhguru Jaggi Vadudev that saw participation from celebrities, politicians, and administrators from all walks of life. Kankana, an Indian actress in Los Angeles visits India to study Indian-Classical music from the revered guru Pandit Krishna Mohan Bhatt.
Written, directed, and produced by filmmaker Aditya Patwardhan, A NOMAD RIVER features an ensemble cast, including Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev (‘Sadhguru’), Pandit Krishna Mohan Bhatt (‘Krishna Bhatt’), Adriana Salazar Vega (‘Adriana Gonzales’), Kankana Chakraborty (‘Kankana Chatterjee’), Suraj Jajotar (‘Suraj’), Ravindra Kelkar (‘Ravi’), and Sandeep Lele (‘Abhijeet Chatterjee’).
