MIDNIGHT IN THE GARDEN OF GOOD AND EVIL (1997) on Blu-ray Director Clint Eastwood serves up Savannah in style with one of his most confident, accomplished and elegiac offerings. Based on the non-fiction book phenomenon by John Berendt, the narrative revolves around the murder trial of local Savannah socialite Jim Williams (Kevin Spacey) and Williams himself. Cold blooded kill or simple self-defense, the mannered and mysterious Williams does himself no favors with his demeanor nor his complicated psyche. Reporter John Kelso (John Cusack) sees a simple assignment become an obsession as he strives to uncover Williams’ mysteries only to end up confronted with the most primal mystery of all. Eastwood and cinematographer capture Savannah at its languid, sultry, dappled best – and this new master for 1080p HD Blu-ray delivers the details in sumptuous style. Lady Chablis’ performance as herself is the aperitif that makes this film feast one fit for the ages. Newly Remastered and presented in 16×9 Widescreen

THE MANGLER (1995) One of Stephen King’s most celebrated short stories hits the big screen, as adapted and directed by horror-meister Tobe Hooper.
