Among the undersea challenges facing the Snorks in their second season are an outbreak of Snorkitis, a sea-salt shortage, a menacing (and perhaps mythical) Wolf-fish, and the mad, miniaturizing Dr. Strangesnork. Along the way they find the time to help Tooter’s self-esteem, Casey’s insecurity, and learn the secret origin of Occy – he used to be Junior’s pet! They’re the Snorks – and you’re gonna have lots of fun!
GROWING PAINS: THE COMPLETE FIFTH SEASON (1989-90) It’s a good thing they’ve got each other because Growing Pains fifth smash season doesn’t hesitate to throw some mighty big challenges at the Seaver clan. As if Mike’s (Kirk Cameron) sudden engagement to the family babysitter, Julie, wasn’t enough, Carol (Tracey Gold) finds her college plans derailed while Ben (Jeremy Miller) starts to take after big brother Mike in all the wrong ways! Prolific Western “heavy” (and real-life WWII hero) John Russell makes the jump to the other side of the law as Marshall Dan Troop in Warner Bros. classic TV western, The Lawman. The air of implacable menace Russell brought to many a bad-guy takes on a whole new flavor when playing for the angels – a ramrod, unbending moral rectitude. And that’s a characteristic Marshall Troop will sorely need as he’s tasked with bringing justice to one of the wildest lands of the Wild West – Laramie, Wyoming. His deputy, Johnny McKay (Peter Brown), may be wide-eyed when it comes to the lessons of the world but is steel-eyed when it comes to the lessons of the gun. Notable guests crossing paths with the Lawman in this 5-Disc, 39-Episode series collection include a bevy of Western greats including Jack Elam, Lee Van Cleef, Dick Foran, Wayne Morris, Robert Conrad and Adam West (as Doc Holliday).

CALLAWAY WENT THATAWAY (1951) Fred MacMurray and Dorothy McGuire topline in this farcical tale of TV Cowboys, but it’s the dual performance of Howard Keel that makes off with show. Has-been Cowboy crooner Smoky Callaway (Keel) is suddenly red-hot thanks to the TV marketing wizardry of a pair of copywriters, Frye & Patterson (McMurray & McGuire), but there’s a hitch – no one has seen Callaway in close to decade. While one unsavory associate sets off in search of the now-golden cowboy goose, Frye & Patterson locate a duplicate dupe – an innocent yokel and real-life cowpoke, Stretch Barnes (Keel). But as Stretch gets coached in the way of Callaway, Callaway gets wind of his comeback and sets out on a collision course with his doppelgänger. Directed by Melvin Frank and Norman Panama.
THE HIGH COST OF LOVING (1958) Jose Ferrer and Gena Rowlands (in her screen debut) star in a truly sublime comedy-drama about love, work and the importance of luncheon invitations. Ferrer plays middle manager Jim Fry, whose firm has just been acquired by a conglomerate. While his co-workers scramble to find their feet in the wake of a re-organization, Jim is confident in his work. That is, until he discovers he’s not invited to break bread with the new corporate overlords. Meanwhile, after nine years of marriage, loyal wife Ginny (Rowlands) has a familial discovery of her own… Ferrer’s gift for stage theatrics are deftly deployed throughout, elevating this celebration of the mundane into a uniquely cinematic sphere. COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS (1959) Jean Negulesco directs Deborah Kerr and Maurice Chevalier in this comedy romance about love across the channel. During the desperate days of the blitz, Brit blue-blood Grace Allingham has a whirlwind romance with French aviator aristocrat Charles Edouard de Valhubert (Rossano Brazzi) that results in nuptials and a pregnancy. But duty calls and the couple must endure a 9-year separation. Reunited at last, and re-patriated to France, the lady Grace must come to terms with the Gallic definition of marital duty. It’s a good thing she has a wise and worldly Grand-Uncle-in-Law (Chevalier) to guide her. Franz Waxman contributes a suitably enchanting score. Newly remastered and presented in 16×9 Widescreen
