Granfalloon Productions has announced the release of John Stewart Muller’s Indiscretion on March 28 on VUDU, iTunes, Amazon  and Google Play. Academy Award Winner Mira Sorvino (Mighty Aphrodite) stars as Veronica a New Orleans psychiatrist and a politician’s wife, whose brief affair with a troubled young artist comes back to haunt her when he begins to infiltrate every part of her life. While her husband and daughter are away, she enjoys a weekend fling with Victor (Christopher Backus), an alluring young sculptor. But after Veronica calls off the affair, Victor refuses to let go and will stop at nothing to have Veronica for himself. Just how far will Victor go to get what he wants, and is there anything Veronica can do to stop his mad obsession before it destroys her family?

Sorvino is joined on-screen by Cary Elwes (SAW, The Princess Bride), Katherine McNamara (“Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”) and Christopher Backus (“Underground”, “Bosch”).

While set in modern day New Orleans, Indiscretion is imbued with the look and feel of the 1980s. Directly alluding to stylish films from that era like Body Heat, The Big Easy, and 9 1/2 Weeks, it features everything from modern and colonial architecture to neon signage and rain-soaked streets: a city eerily familiar yet utterly unique.

Veronica and Victor’s affair goes from passionate to dangerous, and this is mirrored by the city’s lively, visually dynamic, and multicultural environment. From classically romantic settings like the French Quarter and Garden District, to the studios and galleries of the booming Arts District, Indiscretion’s New Orleans is as much a part of the story as the characters who drive it. Contemporary gentrification contrasted with architectural neglect illustrate the duality between rich and poor, love and hate, creation and destruction, even life and death.

The filmmakers created the retro trailer below to showcase both the fun of the film and pay homage to the ’80s and ’90s psychosexual thrillers that influenced them.
