‘Love and Monsters’ Travels to Disc Jan. 5
Paramount Pictures’ sci-fi adventure movie “Love and Monsters” will arrive on DVD, Blu-ray with digital code and 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray Combo on January 5, 2021. The post-apocalyptic film, starring “Maze Runner’s” Dylan O’Brien, was originally scheduled for a Feb. 21, 2021, theatrical release but, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, was pushed to an October 16, 2020, day & date release.
Its box-office receipts to date total $1,048,513.
“Love and Monsters” (originally titled “Monster Problems”) is set in a post-apocalyptic time when giant monsters have taken over the Earth’s surface, forcing humankind into underground colonies. After Joel Dawson (Dylan O’Brien) reconnects over radio with his high school girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick), who is now 80 miles away at a coastal colony, he begins to fall for her again. As Joel realizes that there’s nothing left for him underground, he decides against all logic to venture out to Aimee. Along his dangerous journey he makes unlikely friends including a heroic dog and a pair of survivalists (Michael Rooker and Ariana Greenblatt) who help him survive the monster-infested road to true love.
“Love and Monsters” has been available on Apple TV, Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, FandangoNow, Google Play, Xfinity and other platforms since October 16.
